**Position Information**:
Queanbeyan West Public School is a located on Ngambri and Ngunnawal lands in Queanbeyan on the border of NSW and the ACT. Close to Canberra, the school is only 10kms from Canberra International airport and is only a short drive to the Snowy Mountains or to the South Coast.

Queanbeyan West Public School is a P3 school in the Queanbeyan Network of Schools with a current enrolment of 465 students K-6, including 57 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and 116 Language Background other than English, students.

4. Evidence of successful leadership implementing effective, innovative programs using informed decision making to develop agile learners who think critically and creatively, while maintaining a focus on literacy and numeracy.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education

2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs

3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community

4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning

5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning

6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
