**About the role**
Reporting to the Applications Support Manager, you will provide hands on technical expertise to develop and resolve complex development and support issues; ensuring that designs align to best practice and are in keeping with strategic priorities and direction. The role will be involved in all aspects of solution delivery from requirements analysis, design, development, testing through to BAU support. You will also be responsible for the management of the team, the development pipeline and managing the external Support Partner.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Perform hands on development and work with the team to perform code reviews
- Document business requirements and user stories, generating and maintaining technical support documentation to highest available standard
- Engage with business users, business/technical analysts, solution architects and others to understand needs and requirements for project and BAU development tasks
- Act as the business relationship manager to key Asset Management stakeholders to ensure team priorities are aligned with business objectives
- Facilitate monthly governance with Asset Team
- Monitor and manage Service Now tickets to ensure SLA’s are met
- Management of the project and enhancement/development pipeline in terms of timelines and resourcing
- Manage support partners to ensure project and BAU related incidents and problems are resolved in a timely and professional manner
**About you**
With significant experience supporting, developing and upgrading IBM Maximo for a large business with mission critical systems, you will be accustomed to complex and time sensitive integrations with external systems. You will have been a Team Lead previously and will have the ability to document and share knowledge to cross skill and distribute workload. Ideally, you will have significant consulting experience to assist you with balancing project and BAU priorities.
You will also possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:
- Highly experienced people manager
- Relevant support and development experience working with condition monitoring systems
- Exposure to integration technologies such as Oracle SOA, and a strong understanding of the CI/CD principles and experience working with tools such as Azure DevOps etc
- Experience in transport, logistics, engineering, or utilities industries
- Solid understanding of the IBM Maximo product suite, integration capabilities, and messaging systems
- Highly developed skills and knowledge with solution design & development using development languages, Java /JavaScript / XML / SQL etc.; JSON, REST and data-based APIs
- Very proficient with SQL, PLSQL & T-SQL queries and database management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the internal IT team, vendors, partners, and customers.
