**About the Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the **Finance** team, working within the **Women and Babies’ Division**, as the **Business Manager, **where you will be accountable for:

- Providing expert business advice, analysis and support, to enable the achievement of effective patient care.
- Developing and implementing strategic and business planning.
- Monitoring of the Division’s budget and activity.
- Overseeing Human Resource systems, in particular medical, technical and scientific, relevant to the Division.

The Business Manager is integral in the effective operation and viability of the Division and will be required to engage in:

- Contributing to Divisional management and service planning.
- Monitoring and analysing Divisions performance, specifically in relation to financial and activity data.
- Providing a business planning and management service.
- Assisting in the provision of a Human Resource function for the Division.
- Identifying business opportunities.
- Coordinating and managing staff as delegated.
- Implementing, managing and monitoring financial policies and procedures of the State Government and Health Sector.
- Benchmarking of the Divisions performance internally and externally.

**About You**
- To be successful in this role, you will have an appropriate Degree or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Economics (or related financial/business management field) majoring in accounting, and the following:

- Highly developed analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to develop accurate management reports.
- Financial management skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to function in an environment of dynamic change and financial constraint.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in financial/budget management.
- Experience in the effective development, implementation and management of forecasts in a large complex organisation within a framework of critical corporate objectives and in consideration of operational, political, financial and strategic issues.
