Are you passionate about connecting great people with great opportunities? Do you thrive in fast-moving environments where no two days are the same? We’re looking for a capable and motivated HR Generalist who enjoys recruitment and brings fresh thinking, initiative, and adaptability to everyday HR work.
At Forwood, we’re on a mission to eliminate fatalities in the workplace, and we know that great people are key to that success. As we continue to grow, we're looking for someone who can support core HR processes and help us find and onboard new talent.
**What You’ll Be Doing**
This role also offers the variety and depth of a true generalist position. You’ll contribute across:
- **Employee Relations**- Provide practical, people-focused support on employee matters, helping build a positive and productive workplace culture.
- **Performance Management**- Contribute to the implementation and improvement of performance and feedback processes across the business.
- **Training & Development**- Identify learning needs and coordinate initiatives to grow capability and support career progression.
- **Policy & Compliance**- Help maintain and align HR policies with Australian employment law, including the Fair Work Act, NES, and relevant awards.
- **HR Systems & Reporting**- Maintain HR records (we use BambooHR), manage workflows, and generate reports to support business decisions.
- **HR Projects & Change Initiatives**- Participate in broader people projects including engagement surveys, system rollouts, and process improvements.
**What We’re Looking For**
We’re after someone experienced, adaptable, and naturally collaborative. Someone who brings energy to their work, is always learning, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to get things done. You'll thrive here if you're curious, solutions-oriented, and enjoy the balance of independent work and team collaboration.
- Have 3 to 8 years of HR generalist experience in an Australian context, with strong hands-on recruitment and onboarding expertise
- Understand Australian employment law (Fair Work Act, NES, awards) and are confident supporting performance management and employee development
- Are skilled in HR systems (BambooHR a plus), data management, and reporting
- Communicate clearly, stay organised under pressure, and manage competing priorities with confidence
- Adapt quickly to change, take initiative to improve processes, and balance structure with flexibility
- Build strong relationships, listen well, and genuinely care about people and their success
- Have a curious mindset, are open to feedback, and bring warmth, professionalism, and clarity to your work
**Why Forwood?**
We’re a global, mission-driven SaaS company working with some of the world’s biggest companies to make high-risk work safer. You’ll join a supportive, high-performing HR team where your ideas, initiative, and curiosity are genuinely valued.
