Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has become available for a Territory Manager to inherit a high performing region and to continue in its growth and success working with a market leading Sports Medicine portfolio. Alternatively, if you are an experienced clinical support person the company have excellent training and support to help you step up into a sales role.
**The Role**
In this position, you will be responsible and accountable for business growth within the defined territory maximising sales of the company's products and brand through regular contact with the target customer base. You will learn and execute on all aspects of the sales process and demonstrate clinical excellence in theatre.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsibility for achieving and exceeding sales budget for assigned state Sports Medicine territory and meeting Key Performance Indicators as set by Area Sales Manager.
- Provide input to the State Sales Manager on the determination of the annual sales budget and strategy for your assigned territory
- Develop and manage short and long-term account strategies that support strategies and objectives.
- Implement and maintain an account management process that includes account assessment, account prioritisation, strategy development and execution, and regular account reviews with the Area Sales Manager.
- Develop and maintain an electronic database to support the account management process.
- Respond to customer inquiries, produce quotes and follow-up to provide high level of customer service.
- Manage assigned sales territory ensuring all company policies and protocols are followed with particular focus on the safety and compliance elements
- Manage stock and inventory at assigned customer sites
- Create accurate sales forecasts and provide timely monthly reporting to the Area Sales Manager on the actual to forecast.
- Actively monitor market trends including competitor activities and work out relevant strategies with the Regional Sales Manager to mitigate risks to achievement of sales forecast.
- Influence, coach and support the clinical support members in providing exceptional case support and training.
- Collaborate with other team members to establish team goals, plans and activities.
- Develop an effective way for the team to work together to achieve team goals.
- Foster good teamwork, communication and execution across the state sales team.
- Ensure appropriate levels of profitability through the correct usage of company assets, pricing and product mix in territory.
- Be an agent of change to help initiate and manage the change process when required.
**Required Skills Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualification in Science, Allied Heatlh or Business-related discipline
- Proven experience in Sports Medicine and/or endoscopy clinical support or exceptional sales experience in related medical devices
- Understanding of Sports Medicine products and industry is preferable
- Good understanding of the Australian public and private healthcare system
- Ability to interpret clinical data
- Ability to travel and be on call periodically
