**About the role**

As our Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and timely delivery of our products. You will interpret component design requirements, identify and qualify suitable suppliers, and ensure delivered products meet our stringent quality specifications.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Supplier Performance Management: Monitoring and reviewing supplier quality performance.
- Protecting Our Supply Chain: Developing plans to deal with potential issues from suppliers.
- Incoming Product Inspection: Planning and overseeing inspections to ensure they meet specifications.
- Quality Documentation: Developing and maintaining quality checks and documentation.
- Problem Solving: Investigating issues, figuring out the root cause, and working with others to make sure it doesn't happen again
- Product Recalls and Reworks: Coordinating product recalls and reworks as required.
- Collaboration with the Design Team: Actively contributing to continuous product development improvements, focusing on quality assurance and cost-effective manufacturing.
- Supplier Selection, Qualification and Approval
- You will learn about key areas within the department, such as engineering, design, logistics, WHS, and IP, to develop a comprehensive understanding and enhance your cross-functional effectiveness.

**Skills & Key Attributes**

Experience in all listed areas is preferred, but not essential. We are primarily seeking individuals with a practical mindset and strong critical thinking skills who can adapt and learn quickly.
- Strong understanding of metal components, design fabrication & finishes
- Technical ability/Manufacturing background or industry experience in a product related field
- Product sourcing internationally, particularly in China
- Willingness to travel internationally from time to time
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
