**What's the role on offer?**

Based on site in our Head Office near Brisbane Airport, this is a new and exciting role working alongside our HR Manager and General Manager within our HR Team. As the **Industrial Relations Specialist, **you will be responsible for managing and maintaining positive employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations and handling all industrial relations issues within our business including but not limited to:

- Crafting and executing industrial relations strategies to foster positive employer-employee relations and ensure legal compliance.
- Handling grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions while advising management and employees on IR matters.
- Leading negotiations with unions to establish and renew agreements, balancing organisational interests with legal requirements.
- Staying current with IR laws and regulations to guide compliance and manage risks.
- Mediate and negotiate to resolve industrial disputes, aiming for win-win outcomes.
- Conducting training sessions for management and employees on industrial relations practices, legislation, and policies.

**Who we are looking for**:

- Proven experience in industrial relations or employment law, ideally in a managerial or advisory role.
- Strong knowledge of Australian IR laws, including the Fair Work Act.
- Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills with management and unions.
- Familiarity with modern awards, enterprise agreements, and industrial instruments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, maintain confidentiality, and build positive stakeholder relationships.
