The Corporate Services division leads the coordination of information and resources to support the efficient functioning of the Department.As Manager, Employee and Industrial Relations, you will specifically:Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team to achieve business-focused solutions for a broad range of customers. Provide high level leadership, coaching mentoring, advice and support to members of the team by promoting and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Engage with senior stakeholders with confidence as a trusted advisor. Leverage your contemporary HR knowledge and expertise to build capability of the team and leaders in the department. Partner with and coach employees and leaders in a range of HR related areas such as performance and conduct. Deliver quality and contemporary employee relations and industrial relations advice and support. Collaborate with leaders and other teams within People and Culture to manage complex industrial and employee relations issues in consultation with internal and external stakeholders including industrial disputes. Maintain a sound knowledge of contemporary industrial and employee relations issues, and provide strategic, operational and technical advice in relation to relevant legislation, enterprise bargaining agreements, modern awards, policies and directives. Prepare and/or quality assure written submissions, briefs and correspondence on complex industrial and employee relations issues, as required for senior leaders, the Director-General and Minister.
- Represent the department/team in a range of settings, including meetings, industrial negotiations, consultative forums and committees, and in the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission where required.
