**Data Migration Specialist - (Initial Fixed Term Contract + possible extensions)**
Operandi Consulting is seeking a ‘Cloud Data Migration Specialist’ with specific experience of working in a complex organizational environment, primarily in creating key data migration products, including data migration strategies, specification, data governance processes, data profiling & quality processes, testing & reconciliation framework for a hybrid-Cloud Transformation Project.

The role is hybrid with 3 days working in the office in Melbourne CBD and 2 days working from home.

**Who are we seeking?**
Demonstrated experience in assessing and identifying data migration impacts across other workstreams within a business transformation project

Execute data migration tasks using traditional ETL tools (SSIS, Pentaho) and Azure tools like Data Factory/Synapse in order to streamline data migration processes
- A high-level of motivation and demonstrable ability to solve complex problems and deliver solutions under tight timelines
- Demonstrated experience with SQL Server Integration Services or other ETL tools.
- A critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passionate about delivering high quality work.

**key responsibilities will include**:

- Planning, implementing and managing the migration of data from legacy client management system & Applications to a hybrid cloud-based client management. Maintain a clear understanding of complexity and scope of the migration project.
- Undertake the analysis of datasets required to migrate data into the target system for specific projects and ensure data profiling, data cleansing including cleansing rules definition, data mapping, and data migration execution and deployment takes place.
- Establish, maintain and manage data migration of SQL server database schemas/environments and build complex SQL in order to support legacy data extraction and loading, data aggregation and dissemination.
- Interact with teams in technical discussions, design and code reviews and utilise technical expertise in the requirements analysis phase to ensure the solution is both fit for purpose and use, implementing areas of data migration and analysis to enhance the organisation’s development capability and to create a better experience for the end-users.
- Work with the internal Project Team and software vendor(s) to effectively manage the migration component of this project, documenting issues and processes to refine and support the ongoing migration.
- Create reports and presentations to support Data Profiling, Cleansing and Reconciliation. Track errors encountered during implementation phase and report to the project delivery team and CIO.
