**Your Role**:
The Business Migration Specialist is responsible for day-to-day managing of one or more assigned migration projects. The role involves proactively managing deliverables, schedules, resources, cost, and quality of these project.

This role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs for migration projects.
- Develop comprehensive migration strategies and roadmaps, outlining the necessary steps, timelines, and resources required for successful migration.
- Assess and recommend suitable platforms, services, and tools based on business requirements and technical feasibility.
- Work closely with stakeholders, including IT Migration Co-ordinator, IT teams, Project Managers, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment and smooth execution of migration initiatives.
- Identify and recommend the resources to complete migration projects.
- Lead and manage staff members involved in the migration process.
- Set priority, allocate tasks, and coordinate with project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
- Understand logical dependencies, identify critical path, communicate, and escalate key tasks to team members accordingly.
- Manage the migration process work-flow and migration lists.
- Proactively identify variances to plan and work with stakeholders to formulate appropriate mitigation plans.
- Use established processes to solicit and document project migration risk.
- Understand the technical aspects and desired business outcomes of the project to anticipate issues while driving results.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners, key stakeholders, and external customers as needed on status, risks, and accomplishments to ensure alignment with the overall project goals.
- Manage project change requests.

**Qualifications**:
**Your Skills & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Systems or Engineering.
- Thorough understanding of the end-to-end migration process.
- General Insurance industry experience.
- Project Management certification desirable.
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Clarity, MS Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in leading and managing a small team, including recruitment, managing performance/ deliverable and training.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into practical migration strategies along with producing supporting documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop contingency plans.
- Experience in project delivery with a variety of methodologies i.e. Agile, Scrum, Waterfall.
