The Role
Passionate about workplace culture and creating high-functioning collaborative teams, and managing the People & Culture (P&C) team, this individual will play a key role at Megaport. The position oversees all aspects of the P&C function across the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to employee engagement, well-being, succession planning, recruitment, talent management, performance management, training and development, and compensation.
In this role you’ll partner with our leaders to develop and build the capability of our employees, you’ll be a champion of the Megaport culture, and support the growth of the business as we continue to reach new heights. In this critical position, you will be a leader, coach, and confidant to your stakeholders, you’ll challenge the status quo and put our people at the heart of everything we do.
What You’ll Be Doing- Develop and execute a People & Culture strategy to facilitate the achievement of business objectives.- Manage and develop the People & Culture team.- Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive and senior management teams, addressing critical organizational and employee-related challenges.- Develop and execute Human Resources (HR) strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.- Take a hands-on approach in working with teams to help develop and execute people programs and strategies that enhance Megaport’s culture, including but not limited to performance management, talent attraction and development, succession planning, employee engagement & retention, compensation and internal communications.- Coaching our team of global leaders on the full employee lifecycle, and the nuances in their respective countries, on employee engagement and leading their teams, making a tangible impact on our culture, business performance and continuous improvement.- Provide advice and guidance to managers to ensure that employees are performance managed and guided through any change process.- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the People & Culture function, HR systems, policies and procedures.- Foster strong relationships with employees at all levels, serving as a mentor and coach.- Play a key role in cultivating a culture with high levels of engagement, collaboration and continuous improvement.
What We Are Looking For- 5+ years of experience working in a similar level role, managing a team.- Domain expertise; experience across the whole HR lifecycle, including business partnering, recruitment, employment laws and best practices.- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, whilst taking a hands-on approach.- Demonstrable creative and enthusiastic approach to delivering HR initiatives while operating with a strong work ethic and a commitment to achieving excellence.- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build key relationships across all levels of the organization.- Experience partnering with executives on human resource matters, delivering presentations and supporting board reporting requirements.- Proven experience in managing high-pressure environments and delivering results within tight deadlines.- International HR experience supporting executives, managers and employees in different countries and time zones (North America, Australia and Europe preferred).
