Hays Technology in Geelong are currently partnered with a Federal Government organisation located in Geelong CBD, Victoria.

We are seeking to appoint EL1 Test Lead on 12 months contract role with a view of extension. This will be a hybrid role working from home and Geelong office location

**Your new role**

Reporting to Scrum Master, In this role, you will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. You will be providing leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership and assigned Contractors working within the Work Area.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Quality management of testing for the development and execution of test plans tests scripts and reports to ensure the quality of our products
- Skilled at testing systems, processes, and methodologies
- Strong co-ordination and planning skills to support test execution including ability to review tests and reprioritize if required.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to support working across multiple teams, products and stakeholders
- Ability to define the scope of UAT and BVT testing within the context of each release / delivery
- Ability to understand complex solution designs and translate them into Test cases
- Other duties as required

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Experience working in the financial or government sector is highly desirable.
- Relevant Qualification in IT/ System Testing will be highly regarded.
- Experience using JIRA to manage defects
- Familiar in working within an Agile squad
- Demonstrated Experience managing UAT directly with end users
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent Communication Skills
