- Review and gain an understanding of requirements and expected outcomes with stakeholders;
- Establish a Testing Strategy using a risk-based testing model that defines the scope of the testing required and identifies testing approach, tools, and reporting;
- Determine skills and capabilities required to execute testing including from supporting areas such as data and analytics and work to resolve any capability gaps;
- Provide education, training, and onboarding to the team on the Testing Strategy including supporting tools;
- Initiate test planning including test case structure and design in collaboration with testers and stakeholders and with full traceability back to the requirements;
- Identify and schedule testing cycles to support the testing effort;
- Ensure that entry and exit criteria for each phase of testing is met;
- Monitor progress of testing cycles including lodged observations and defects.
- Provide ongoing communication with the testing team and Project Manager on testing progress and issues.
- Provide status reporting on testing progress including forward planning of effort, testing risks and issues, statistics on executed test cases and lodged observations and defects
- Contribute to test case design and test plans including test cycles;
- Report on any issues or risks with testing efforts, testing approach, or test case design;
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential risks or problems.
