I am currently partnered with a Federal Government Agency who is seeking an EL1 Assistant Director - Strategy, in a full time 12 month temporary assignment with the potential to extend.
**Your new role**
As the EL1 Assistant Director - Strategy, you will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem-solving and issue management, requiring sound decision-making and judgement to produce high level policy advice and operational support. Responsibilities will include:
- Gathering and developing structured insights and recommendations for strategic projects.
- Developing fact based quantitative and qualitative analysis including modelling in Microsoft Excel.
- Creating materials for senior internal and external stakeholders, including the Minister, Board and Executive Leadership Team to communicate perspectives, recommendations and implications for the Agency.
- Presenting recommendations and facilitating discussions with a range of Agency stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Developing action plans and ensuring stakeholder alignment to enable successful implementation.
- Developing content to embed change, including authorship of policy papers and guidance materials.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed as the EL1 Assistant Director - Strategy, you will need:
- Ability to solve complex problems and lead work streams with limited guidance from Directors
- Project Management skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience delegating and supervising team members and overseeing quality of work produced
- Ability to lead consultations and workshops
- Experience working in Government desired
- Australian Citizenship
