Designer - Based in Heatherton - $40-50 per hour + Superannuation - On going position Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Designer to join our team. As a Designer, you will play a vital role in supporting the program Senior Design and working collaboratively with the project team. This is an opportunity to contribute to the success of NBN projects and make a real impact. **Responsibilities**: - Provide technical guidance and best working practices for cost-efficient and high-quality designs. - Execute deliverable designs and support leadership, design, and project colleagues as an expert. - Ensure timely delivery of designs within budget and to quality standards. - Collaborate closely with Construction Team, Land Access Team, surveyors, and Field Managers. - Provide recommendations to improve day-to-day operations and workflow visibility. - Address design objections and coordinate with stakeholders. - Work with the program Design Team Lead and Design Manager on variations and contractual notices. - Review standards and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. - Maintain a focus on safety in design protocols. **Requirements**: - Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication/Electronics Engineering or related field (preferred). - Minimum of 5+ years of design experience within NBN projects. - Expert understanding of NBN Type-2 & Type-3 Architecture. - Proficiency in SpatialNET, AutoCAD & MapInfo. - Ability to interpret technical documentation and drive technology adoption. - Self-motivated with the ability to work under mínimal supervision. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Excellent customer empathy and communication skills. - Outstanding attention to detail and interpersonal skills. - Familiarity with "safety in design" principles.
