And with trusted hardware brands like Mitre 10 and Home Timber & Hardware, we can turn local retailers into the best stores in town giving locals the tools and support to build strong communities - literally **What You’ll do** The Trade Marketing Manager is the driving force behind the development and execution of marketing strategies, ensuring they resonate with our Whole of House strategy and the brand customer value proposition. Your mission is to create a comprehensive annual marketing program that not only boosts sales but also engages consumers through cutting-edge recognition, technology, and brand reinforcement—all achieved in a cost-effective and transparent manner. - Take the lead in developing and delivering marketing strategies for trade channels across independent, joint venture, and company-owned stores. - Work with key third party stakeholders including media buying, creative and social media agencies - Create a robust annual marketing program that effectively drives sales and consumer engagement, emphasizing low-cost and transparent methods. - Represent marketing on the internal cross-functional team, 'Trade Working Group,' including presenting marketing plans and results. - Serve as the marketing ambassador on the 'Trade Action Group,' cultivating relationships, gaining endorsement for trade initiatives, and integrating TAG feedback for continuous improvement. - Engage with the broader business to ensure the efficient delivery of consumer and trade marketing collateral, encompassing comprehensive launch plans and clear internal, member, and customer communications. **What You’ll bring** - Broad understanding of the Metcash business, including its structure, pillars, standing in the industry, service, and commercial model. - Understanding of the building trade industry with experience in marketing to the trade. - Certificate or higher-level qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Business, or Graphic Design). - Knowledge of graphic design tools and software (e.g., In-design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Suite). - Understanding of the 4 Ps (Product, Place, Price, Promotion). - Familiarity with market research methodology and shopper insights. - Knowledge of media platforms and processes (e.g., online, social media, radio, TV, marketing channels). - Understanding of pre-press, strategic planning processes, and marketing plans and briefs. **What we can Offer you** - Ongoing Learning and Development opportunities - Corporate Benefits and discounts - Health & Wellbeing program - An extra week of annual leave as part of the 5th Week program - We are BIG on flexible working We’re all about celebrating success, and we’re proud to be a WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality, an accredited FlexReady workplace and a Gold Standard Mental Health First Aid skilled workplace.
