The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Procurement and Contracts Support Officer to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide quality procurement and contract support in accordance with policies and procedures
- Administer and maintain contract related systems and centralised processes
- Maintain the help-desk function for procurement, providing education and support through a first-contact point
- Raise purchase, service and standing orders as required, checking invoice accuracy to ensure contractual compliance
- Conduct regular reviews to compare items in stock and purchased with those on contracts, highlighting any discrepancies

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- Knowledge of changes in applicable government policies, targets and commitments, best practice sourcing and contract management
- Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $81 534 - $89 828 per annum

The Strategic Procurement team supports key divisions within the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) to help maximise the use of resources to enable delivery of the best quality of care to our community. This includes providing expertise and advice to the organisation to achieve best value for money, leveraging state-wide buying power to minimise costs and driving supplier innovation and considering the impact to our local community through our procurement decision making. Based in Southport.
