**The Role**

Cockburn Cement is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Operations Improvement Specialist to join our team at the Kwinana site. This is an exciting opportunity to drive operational performance improvements across our cement operations by implementing best-in-class systems, processes, and technologies.

In this hands-on role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to enhance safety, asset performance, cost efficiency, and team capability. You will also lead the technical writing team and support training, system development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

**Responsibilities**
- Drive improvement programs across safety, maintenance, and production operations.
- Standardise and optimise systems and processes, leveraging best practices and modern technologies.
- Lead change management for new systems, projects, and modifications—including HAZOP and training.
- Support development and rollout of operator training in collaboration with People & Culture.
- Manage implementation and optimisation of an industry leading Connected Worker Platform.
- Develop, review and maintain Safe Work Instructions and key operational documentation.
- Provide leadership to the technical writing function and promote knowledge sharing.
- Partner with HSE, Operations and HR to support compliance and continuous improvement.

**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, operations or a relevant field.
- Experience in heavy industry, preferably cement, mining or manufacturing.
- Strong change management, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of risk management, HSE compliance, and training systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive cross-functional improvement initiatives.
