Overview:
The Document Control Specialist is responsible for accurately track, log, and distribute releases of both internal and external documentation including metadata. This position is an Individual Contributor. You will report to the National QA and Welding Manager and be responsible for Project documentation, ensuring it is available in a timely and comprehensive manner.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring a high level of accuracy and efficiency within the Document Control department
- Adhere to the relevant Document Control procedures for the processing of Project Documentation
- Assist with control, capture, registration, and dissemination of information between the asset/operations and project systems.
- Co-ordinate and expedite supplier and client drawings and other documents through engineering review, maintaining appropriate files and records of information required for their identification in review, maintaining appropriate files and records of information required for their identification
- Maintain the project files of design drawings, specifications, calculations, client reference drawings, and other documents as required
- Ensuring strict confidentiality is maintained for sensitive or proprietary information
- Support other team members during periods of high documentation turnover
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholder at various levels, both internally and externally to ensure efficiency of information exchange and that records are appropriately captured
Local Requirements:
- This is a Part Time Document Controller - 3 days per week to join our team in Kwinana.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years demonstrated experience as a Document Controller, ideally in a Construction environment
- Certificate in Business and Administration or similar - preferred
- Proven experience with Electronic Document Management Systems
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Ability to prioritise across competing deadlines and requirements
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Team mentality and willingness to share the load during peak periods
