Correspondence Officer, Cabinet and Executive

Key Duties and Accountabilities
- Monitor and action the department's generic mailboxes to provide support and advice including incoming requests; finalising signed correspondence and briefing material to ensure work is prioritised and actioned in a timely manner.
- Conduct daily status reporting and provide analysis and proposed actions for ministerial and Director-General correspondence to meet service standards and on time delivery.
- Thoroughly review correspondence to ensure a good quality correspondence is compiled. Assess and manage quality assurance matters in line with the department's style guide and templates for all documents and correspondence, including liaising with the department liaison officer and other departmental officers.
- Ensure all record management activities are undertaken and completed according to the department's recordkeeping policies.
- Maintain a sound knowledge of various projects and priorities within the department.
- Maintain a high-level understanding and knowledge of the department's Ministerial and Executive Correspondence System (MECS) and record keeping system (eDOCS).
- Identify customer complaints, manage as required and escalate to the Complaints Registrar for registration and appropriate action.
- Participate as an effective team member encouraging an environment of continuous improvement and adoption of best practice.
- Provide advice to the Director and other team members on current and emerging issues.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Other duties as directed and required.
