The Electrical Safety Office helps to keep people electrically safe at work and home.
We have a vision to prevent death, injury and destruction of property caused by electricity, and we work towards it by monitoring and enforcing compliance with electrical safety laws.
**The ESO has six strategic goals**:
1. Electricity being safely generated, transmitted and distributed2. Electrical contractors and workers performing electrical work safely and competently3. Electrical safety integrated in all parts of any business4. Safe and compliant electrical equipment being supplied to the market5. People living safety around electricity6. The community having strong confidence in the electrical safety regulatory system.
Our services all relate to compliance, enforcement, advice and support. The Electricity Safety Plan for Queensland guides our work.
The Client Service Officer will work within the Office of the Executive Director team and will provide administrative support to Office of the Executive Director team, Governance and Compliance team and Equipment Safety team and The role will also assist in the delivery of strategic and operational objectives through assisting in research and stakeholder engagement to identify emerging issues, trends and strategies to improve electrical safety outcomes. The role will also undertake work as required in accordance with the key responsibilities outlined below.

- Have demonstrated ability in the use of computer systems, software packages and web-based technologies including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database systems
- Have demonstrated organisational skills
