My client are a successful Labour Hire business providing Blue Collar staff to the Transport & Logistics industry. They offer a range of recruitment and labour hire services for many clients, specialising in the aviation logistics sector.

They are experiencing a phase of growth and currently have a variety of Transport & Logistics contracts therefore have a large workforce of contractors to support this.

The General Manager's responsibility is maximising operational and safety performance of the organisation. You will be working closely with the senior leadership team to contribute to the continued growth and success of this expanding business.

You will need to be an experienced General Manager with the ability to manage the day to day business operations with a turnover in excess $25 mill+ and continuing to grow nationally.

Key responsibilities:

- Manage the growth & development, planning, implementation and execution of our service level agreements
- Presentation and sales capability to convert new opportunities into expanded service options including new clients
- Oversee the successful allocation & processing of 450 Labour Hire staff working daily Australia-Wide for Blue Chip clients
- Oversee Full Time recruitment team Nationally as well as day to Labour Hire initiatives at Airports including Transportation etc
- Leadership, development and training of the consulting and account management team
- Manage and oversee State Satellite offices
- Ensure the business operates safely and compliantly
- Experience in BLUE collar Labour Hire essential + Transport / Aviation / Logistics (Warehouse, Drivers, Labourers etc)
- Work closely with the Managing Director, Accounts Manager and State Managers
- Manager and oversee the full P & L of this division
- Maintain existing relationships at a senior level & grow existing clients
- Identifying continuous improvement to drive efficiency and growth
- The main liaison with customers to enhance relationships, expand the business and foster mutually beneficial outcomes

Key skills & EXP
- Extensive experience working in a managerial role within the on hire labour and recruitment industry
- Ability to make recommendations to the business and contribute to the future success of the overall group at a National level
- Manage escalations
- Oversee P & L of the division
- Ability to Bring out the best in your team with a nurturing and positive attitude
- Senior mgt exp in a Transport/Logistics/Labour hire (BLUE collar env) with an understanding of Airport operations & Logistics preferred
- Understanding of legislative and compliance requirements relevant to Fair Work Australia, Labour Hire Licencing, Industrial Relations and Workplace Safety
- Ability to travel within Australia & New Zealand
- An Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) will be highly regarded
- Proven experience working in a FAST paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
- Willing to be part of a successful group that's continuing to grow
