Applied Abilities is growing We have kicked off our _ **School Leaver's Employment Supports Services on the North Side of Brisbane **_**and now require more staff.**_ 'SLES' helps participants move from school to work and is available in the final years of school and directly after leaving school.

We are seeking new team members for our Employment Support Team who are proactive, can support our young people to prepare, look for and gain employment. We provide meaningful, individualised capacity building activities so young people can achieve their employment goals.

Coming from all walks of life, we are a team of dedicated, driven and compassionate Employment Consultants who enjoy working alongside our participants and their families to provide the services needed to assist our participants in reaching their goals.

**_This is a role working with our participants to _**

Create individual programs of supports to help our participants get ready for employment
- money handling skills - budgeting
- time management skills - prioritising, planning & organising
- communication skills including conflict resolution
- discovery activities
- work experience and volunteer work
- job ready skills - resumes, interview preparation
- initial support in the workplace
- travel skills - using public and private transport
- personal development skills - presentation & hygiene
- Teamwork

**_The successful applicants will be required to _**
- Have an up-to-date National Criminal History Check
- Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening clearance (Yellow Card)
- Hold a Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- First Aid Certificate and CPR (current)
- Current Open Driver’s license
- Own car and fully comprehensive insurance

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $36.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

**Experience**:

- relevant experience -: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (required)
