**Communications Officer - NSW Government Department**
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 6 month contract (possible extension)
- Pay: $700 per day + super
- Hours: 8hr/day 40hr/week
- Location: 105 Phillip Street, Parramatta / WFH

**Primary Purpose of the Role**:
The Communications Officer is responsible for developing and implementing a range of communications and change initiatives to deliver high quality and consistent project communications and keep vital stakeholders informed

**Key Accountabilities**
- Develop and implement a range of communications initiatives including developing, coordinating and scheduling high quality project communications that are consistent and aligned to organisational and communications standards.
- Draft and publish content for a range of communication channels such as web, print, digital, social media, news, publications, video, workshops, presentations and information sessions to ensure content is appropriately targeted for the audience and medium.
- Support change initiatives to keep key project stakeholders informed.
- Implement communications policies, processes and guidelines ensuring alignment to organisational requirements and standards to drive high quality customer-centred and consistent communication outcomes within support services.
- Prepare regular reporting on all communication projects to analyse the success of communications initiatives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and learning to positively impact the support services business outcomes.

**Requirements;**
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing communications strategies across a range of channels including web, digital and social.
- Demonstrated experience with a range of relevant technology including content management systems, adobe, social media and other relevant areas.
- Must have qualifications in digital media, communications and change management, or related and/or equivalent demonstrated experience.
