
Administration Officer

**Key responsibilities of this role**:
- Implement, maintain and review human resource, financial and administrative systems, including travel and accommodation arrangements, plant and equipment maintenance, procurement, ordering, departmental correspondence, payment of accounts and petty cash.
- Assist in budget management, through day to day expenditure including coordinating purchases for office consumables and other business requisites as well as preparing related financial reports as required; and assisting with the budget process through monthly monitoring and the reconciliation of accounts.
- Assist with the maintenance of document management and maintain filing and information retrieval systems.
- Investigate administrative enquiries and complaints ensuring timely and accurate solutions are reached.
- Organise meetings, conferences and other events including catering when required.
- Contribute to effective team work by developing an understanding of the roles and duties of other team members across the Department and working collaboratively to deliver services to all business units within the department.
- Communicate and liaise with various levels of management, the general public, Departmental officers, other government Departments and agencies, as well as the private sector.
- Contribute at a high level to a culture of client service, excellence and continuous improvement.
- General administrative duties as required.
- All staff are responsible for identifying, managing and reporting risks relating to their work with the Department.
