**See yourself in our team**:
The BB Analytics, Data and Decision Science (BB ADDS) team uses data and analytics to better understand our customers to improve the customer engagement experience and develop innovative features that customers can use through digital channels.
**Do work that matters**:
As part of the ADDS Customer Insights & Engagement team, you will be directly contributing to analytics and insights that impact how the Business Bank engages with customers and the features that businesses will see through the app.
**On a day-to-day basis, you will**:
- Work closely with the wider ADDS team, product owners and internal stakeholders to understand their data requirements and build out a world class data asset
- Drive new and creative ways to leverage customer and transactional data to provide predictive and prescriptive insights to our customers
- Develop tools for our frontline staff and back-office to better understand and promote meaningful conversations with our customers
- Build end-to-end reporting and interactive dashboards using Tableau or R-Shiny;
- Develop and automate analytical solutions using SQL, Python or R;
- Present analytical insights to stakeholders up to the General Manager level and provide data-driven advice to our business partners
- Support the optimisation of customer engagement strategies and product specific initiatives, using insights and analytics to develop innovative solutions on customer profiling and segmentation
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with internal teams (ADDS, Digital, Product, Credit Risk Strategy, Technology)
- Embrace continuous self-development and be comfortable with stepping out of your comfort zone and learning new skills
- Lead projects and initiatives as required to support our stakeholders
**We’re interested in hearing from people who have**:
- Minimum 3+ years in Data Analytics or similar experience (e.g. actuary, pricing, or credit risk)
- Must have proven experience liaising with and influencing less analytical stakeholders to solve business problems with data
- Ability to understand complex problems and take a structured approach using data driven insights to solve them
- Must have proven experience working with SQL to extract data from complex datasets
- Comfortable with coding, experience in Python or R preferred
- Any experience working with large datasets desirable (Spark, Hive, Data Science, Hadoop and others)
- Proficiency in building tools and reporting through tools such as Tableau (preferred) or R-Shiny with knowledge of visualisation best practices
- Knowledge and Experience in Banking (customers, products, systems, processes) is preferred
- Tertiary degree in Economics, Commerce or a quantitative degree, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science is preferred
