**Position Information**:
Kingsgrove North High School is a public comprehensive, coeducational high school in the Canterbury Network of schools. It is a school that offers every student a place to learn, lead and achieve their personal best. Kingsgrove North High School has a current enrolment of 920 students. Our diverse community includes students from 47 different cultural backgrounds and 92% of the population being from a NESB background. HSC academic achievements have meant that our high achievers pursue sought after courses at universities of their choice and many other students follow pathways through TAFE and work. The school offers a variety of VET courses to allow students to learn skills in learning spaces that are of industry standard as well as trade training centres. STEM is a growing area at Kingsgrove North High School and are involved in a Community of Schools. Kingsgrove North High School is involved in a wide range of community partnerships which aim to broaden student learning experiences. The school has also developed strong links with local businesses that have contributed towards improving student learning outcomes.

- Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as an instructional leader to identify, plan for, and lead evidence informed high impact professional learning, capable of engaging staff and building capacity.
- Demonstrated understanding of current pedagogical practices, with proven ability to lead the implementation of quality teaching and learning programs, that support the schools strategic directions and results in student growth and attainment.
- Demonstrated expertise in motivating staff to use differentiation strategies to improve student growth and achievement for all learners, including high-potential and talented students.
- Demonstrated understanding of the NESA requirements of accreditation and evidence of mentoring and supporting staff through this process.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs

3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams

4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents

5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning

6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
