**Position Summary**
Bechtel is an innovative organisation, and we are currently looking for an experienced **Project HR Representative** who wants to help our people excel in the delivery of projects within the Mining and Metals industry in Australia.
This position has come about due to some internal movements and growth in our workloads globally.

Whilst there is definitely operational work to be done, there will be plenty of opportunity to work strategically with the wider HR team and add value to the Mining and Metals business unit and broader organisation.
**Key Responsibilities**
Reporting directly to, and with support from the HR Services Manager for Mining and Metals, your major responsibilities will include:
- Implement Human Resources policies, procedures and programs.
- Set up of new Studies and Projects in Smart Staff, Talentworks and SAP.
- Provide wide ranging advice and counsel to Project line and Regional Functional Management on Human Resources policies including but not limited to: salary administration, performance management, staffing, work visa administration strategy, emergency/contingency actions, accreditation and diversity and inclusion.
- Develop and review Project Procedures (e.g. Onboarding, Staffing, Business Travel, myTime charging guidelines).
- Work with different groups to support studies and projects staffing processes (e.g. Talent Acquisition, Advisory Services).
- Active participation in project staffing processes and meetings.
- Monitor compliance with Smart Staff staffing activities: arrivals, departures, release dates.
- Develop and conduct programs and/or seminars responsive to Bechtel’s needs (e.g. due to changes in Human Resources policies and/or management directives).
- Set up mobilisation and demobilisation criteria within project and in coordination with managers as required.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or similar discipline with solid previous HR work experience.
- Previous experience in EPC or EPCM projects as a Project HR Lead.
- Knowledge of and experience working within the Australian Employment Law context and awareness of legal requirements affecting Human Resources administration.
- Experience working collaboratively with several Human Resources groups (e.g. Advisory Services, Total Rewards, Region and Country, CoE teams).
- Demonstrated experience in effectively conducting research, investigating alternative solutions and providing advice/outlining actions.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the preparation and presentation of oral and written reports for management.
- Ability to support a variety of customers and stakeholders across the business.
- Ability to work autonomously, multi-task and prioritize deliverables.
- Availability to travel to jobsites as needed.
