Where the team fits in
The FS (Financial Services) Analytics team supports all internal departments by providing data, reporting, analytics, visualisations and insights - across key business metrics, sales funnel & conversion data, product & marketing initiatives, customer acquisition & retention, broker recruitment initiatives, internal systems & performance data and more.
What The Role Is All About- Enjoy a role that has the perfect blend of analysing data, visualising data and leveraging analytics to generate business insights.- Be a champion of data, analytics & insights for the Financial Services line of business (covering our mortgage broking business Mortgage Choice, key banking partnership & digital financial experiences)- Work across the entire home loans sales conversion funnel- Develop dynamic Tableau dashboards for the Financial Services to ultimate drive performance- Analyse and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, challenges and business opportunities- Leverage our data sets to generate insights that drive real business outcomes & decision-making- Have fun tackling interesting business problems with a data-driven and analytical mindset- Be a key business partner supporting a wide range of stakeholders across multiple teams (including commercial finance, technology, digital product, marketing, operations, lending partners and risk/compliance teams)- Have strong stakeholder management, working with multiple stakeholders to translate data and insights into meaningful actions & solutions- Play an integral role in analysing, creating, joining & managing business data sets
Who We’re Looking For- 3+ years of experience in data visualisation, analysing data to uncover trends and generating insights- Proven experience in developing dashboards using data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)- A passion for leveraging data analytics to tackle real-world business challenges- A strong analytical problem solver skilled at uncovering trends and patterns in complex data sets- Proficiency in database concepts and SQL, with hands-on experience in creating and joining data sets- Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to connect data insights to business outcomes- Strong communication collaboration with business/technical teams, and impactful data-storytelling- Autonomy, with an ability to work in a fast-paced and multiple project environment- Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis
Additional skills and experience that would be highly desirable:
- Commercial experience in home loans, mortgage broking franchises or Financial Services- Experience in customer analytics & sales conversion funnels- Digital marketing/ an audience analytics experience (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)- Experience in Google Cloud Platform, Google BigQuery and Tableau- Programming & automation scripting experience (e.g. Python, JavaScript)- Experience in advanced analytics (e.g. machine learning, predictive modelling)- Data engineering & data pipelines
