As a **Data Governance Analyst,**you’ll play a crucial role in shaping how data is trusted, used, and valued across the business. Data Governance at Endeavour is on a journey, and this role will be vital in fostering a culture of strong data practices within strategic data domains. You’ll be key in defining how data assets are catalogued, governed, and made discoverable - helping teams unlock insights faster and achieve better business outcomes.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
Stakeholder engagement & Collaboration
- Design impactful stakeholder engagement strategies to drive business change and data governance adoption
- Foster a data-driven decision-making culture
- Facilitate discussions and conflict resolution, especially with differing perspectives
- Implement change strategies for voluntary data governance adoption
- Create compelling narratives on data governance benefits using real world business examples

Empowering Data Stewards and Data Practitioners
- Support Data Stewards by providing framework, toolkits and advice on data controls across data lifecycle
- Uplift data accountability by embedding data stewardship activities into business processes
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand and capture various metadata, definitions and enrich the data catalog
- Identify and meet data governance training needs for key stakeholders

Enterprise Data Governance Framework that supports Outcomes
- Partner with business stakeholders and data teams to understand their data needs and enable the development of strategic data products
- Take ownership of one or more data domains and implement Data Governance framework within them
- Lead data quality initiatives to drive continuous data quality improvement by identifying, cataloguing and supporting the remediation of critical data
- Support to continuously improve, simplify and enhance the existing processes, solutions and data governance tooling capabilities

What do we need from you

Now let’s talk about you:

- Over 8-10 years of experience in an insights-driven business, as a data governance analyst, data steward, data analyst, or in a similar role
- Demonstrated ability in conducting capability assessments, identifying gaps & opportunities for improvement, and data maturity uplift
- Proven success in embedding data governance practices within existing processes to lead and drive change
- Data Stewardship experience in previous roles will be a nice-to-have
- Good understanding of data governance and data management best practices
- Experience in either data governance, data management, or business analysis in a commercial environment
- Experience with data cataloging tools, such as Informatica, etc.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Positive and ‘can do’ attitude with strong analytical skills
