**An exciting, fixed term opportunity exists to join our Technical Advice team as a Superannuation Officer - Assessments This role is a for a period of 12 months and will be based in Brisbane.**

**About the role**

Every one of our team contributes to helping make our members’ world better. As a **Superannuation Officer - Assessments**, you will support the Technical Advice team to provide a service to our member’s beneficiaries and estate. The role encompasses the assessment of claimants for a superannuation death benefit and the associated administration activities that accompany that assessment.

Key accountabilities will include:

- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business
- Correspond with claimants in a professional and sensitive manner
- Investigate who maybe an eligible beneficiary of a member
- Examine patterns and trends as opportunities to identify the underlying, related, or on-going causes of problems and issues, and use this information to facilitate change and drive initiatives to improve processes, products and services with key stakeholders

**About you**

You have a strong work ethic and a commitment to accuracy and compliance and have a comprehensive understanding of superannuation laws, regulations, and policies. You have an empathetic and patient nature and strive to serve to help ensure a positive experience and build trust. Furthermore, your skills, experience and qualifications may include the following:

- Knowledge of superannuation (death benefits) is preferred
- Analytical skills with a strong mathematical aptitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to explain assessment outcomes, respond to inquiries and provide guidance on superannuation matters
- Proven experience or demonstrable ability to work successfully within a team in a high-volume customer service work environment
