As Office Assistant, you are part of the Chambers’ Administration team. Our team is critical to providing a professional and seamless experience for Chamber members. In your role, you are responsible for providing support to the administration team to ensure that tasks are carried out in a timely, clean, and accurate manner. Your focus is maintaining safe and clean common kitchen areas.
**Key Responsibilities**
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Maintaining all kitchens throughout Chambers twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon to comply with health and safety standards
Cleaning door handles, foyer phones and touch pads regularly throughout the day on all floors
Cleaning and polishing dishes, crockery, glassware, cutlery and kitchen utensils and equipment, using dishwasher
Clearing out all fridges of any out-of-date foodstuff and ensuring the general cleanliness of the fridges daily, with a thorough wiping down of all fridges once a month
Ensuring all conference rooms are clean and ready for use by members and clients
**Detailed Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to:)**
Distributing weekly milk orders to the fridges on each floor in a timely manner after delivery by Fruit Break; distributing weekly fruit order on each floor, display nicely in fruit bowls
Descaling coffee machines on all floors when indicated on machine
Unpacking soft drink orders and storing deliveries appropriately and promptly in the storeroom
Stocking fridge on Level 25 with soft drinks, water, and wines - checking the fridge is fully stocked each day before leaving for members using the common room
Stocking fridge on Level 12 with soft drinks and water, NO alcohol
Assisting reception staff by setting up conference rooms on Level 12 or 25 for mediations and arbitrations when required
Cleaning conference rooms on all floors following meetings, including wiping down tables and cleaning chairs
Deliver mail to Post Office as directed in the absence of Mail Room Staff
Clean air purifiers on all floors - excluding Level 25 weekly on a Thursday
Report to Member Liaison Officer faults on coffee machines, Zip taps, dishwashers and wait on further instructions
Contact milk suppliers to adjust orders when required
Empty dishwashers on all floors prior to leaving in the evening
Wiping down and dry all surfaces, free of smears, in kitchens regularly
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**
- Proven work experience as an office assistant, kitchenhand or similar role
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
**Personal Qualities and Attributes**
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Exceptional customer service attitude
- Team player and ability to communicate effectively
- Strong organisational and time management skills
Pay: $60,450.00 per year
