Job description

Busy Western Suburbs cafe is in need of a cafe manager to help run the business in the absence of the owner.
This is a full-time and long-term position in a 7-day operation opening from 6.30am - 3pm

Role and Responsibility:
Supervise and manage a small team of baristas & wait staff in a busy environment
Ordering and rostering, managing suppliers
Monitoring payroll KP, paperwork, and other administrative duties
Make and serve specialty coffee and tea beverages
Good communication skills -- regular communication/updates with the owner / Head Chef
Speak and interact with both new and regular customers
Promote the business wherever possible
Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment
Follow health and safety guidelines, be COVID responsible
Be punctual
Contribute to a positive team environment
Barista qualifications and skills can handle up to 10 kilos of coffee on shift
POS and cash handling, end-of-day financial management
Set up the premises for trade daily and close. This can involve the lifting of furniture.
38 hours per week, working 5 days from 7 including most weekends.

Minimum of 5 years hospitality experience, 2 years in a management / supervisory role
Good attitude - high energy levels, hardworking, reliable, honest, passionate, always welcoming and smiling to customers
Ability to work as part of a positive and close-knit team and build on that ethos
Well presented, communication skills and time management skills
Immaculate personal presentation
Can speak English fluently and must be in Australia for at least 12 months
Experienced and comfortable working in a busy environment

**Salary**: $53,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
