**Empowering Mob, By Mob.** Grassroots Projects is on the lookout for passionate and dedicated **First Nations Training Facilitators** to deliver culturally safe, empowering, and trauma-informed workshops across Australia. If you're someone who believes in walking alongside mob and creating meaningful change through connection, culture, and community - we want to hear from you. **About the Role** As a Training Facilitator, you will lead transformative workshops such as **"Connecting the Dots"**, supporting participants to build resilience, explore mental health, and strengthen cultural identity. These programs are developed **by mob, for mob** and are grounded in cultural strength, community wisdom, and healing. **Key Responsibilities** **Workshop Facilitation** - Deliver culturally safe workshops focused on mental health, resilience, cultural identity, and empowerment. - Foster a culturally safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. - Encourage open dialogue, shared stories, and community connection. **Participant Engagement** - Engage participants throughout the workshop, building rapport and providing individualized support to ensure a meaningful learning experience. - Offer mentorship and guidance post-workshop to support participants as they work through any barriers, connecting them with relevant resources and referrals as needed. **Program Design and Development** - Collaborate with the Grassroots Projects team to design and refine workshop content that addresses the unique needs of each community. - Assist in the development and continuous improvement of training programs and associated activities, ensuring they meet both community needs and client expectations. **Cultural and Community Engagement** - Actively participate in community and cultural events, functions, and meetings to build and maintain positive relationships with First Nations communities. - Engage with community leaders and Elders to ensure that workshop content remains culturally respectful and relevant. **Administrative Support** - Handle administrative tasks, including program coordination, data management, participant communication, and reporting. - Support the tracking and evaluation of participant progress and feedback to enhance program effectiveness. **About You** - **Willingness to Travel** - workshops are delivered in various regions. - You **must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander** to apply. - **Strong Cultural Knowledge** and connection to community. - **Confident Facilitator** with experience working in group settings. - **Culturally Safe & Trauma-Informed Practice** - essential. - **Excellent Communicator** - able to engage diverse participants with empathy and respect. **Why Join Us?** - **Make a Real Impact** - empower mob and support healing journeys. - **Flexible Work** - travel and delivery schedules to suit your availability. - **Supportive Team** - work with a culturally grounded, passionate, and purpose-driven team. - **Ongoing Training and Development** - personal and professional growth encouraged. **How to Apply** If this sounds like you, **we’d love to hear from you**.
