**About the Centre for Family Violence Prevention**
Launched in 2016, the Centre focuses on improving the safety, health and wellbeing of women and their families experiencing family violence. The Centre brings together a team of interdisciplinary researchers including clinicians, social scientists, statisticians, early career researchers and students. It aims to become a hub for the development of innovative interventions including identification tools, early intervention and therapeutic responses, to assist women experiencing family violence.
**About the role**
As the Lived Experience Project Coordinator you will provide support in the development and implementation of a strong survivor lived experience co-design platform, with special attention to funding sustainability. In this role you will have a wonderful opportunity to help shape future outcomes for the community.
A regular day will see you:
- Support the successful delivery of the Lived Experience Collective project in consultation with the Lived Experience Lead
- Build capacity and capability within the Lived Experience Collective
- Promote and enhance the profile and integration of trauma and violence-informed care at the Women’s
- Provide advice on the delivery of innovative service development to establish the Women’s as a leader in transforming health systems through co-design with survivors of domestic family and sexual violence.
While drawing on your lived experience you will work in a highly supportive and safe environment, with engaged and collaborative managers and colleagues.

**About you**
You will be someone who is comfortable using your own experiences to help inform the improvement of outcomes for patients and staff who experience family violence. You’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You’ll bring with you:
- ??Lived experience of domestic, family and/or sexual violence
- Degree in a social science, health related discipline (Social Work, Medical, Psychology, Nursing, Science), arts, gender/women studies or relevant field
- Knowledge and understanding of co-design and working closely with those with lived experience of domestic and family violence
- Experience working in a hospital or other setting with people affected by family violence
- Experience delivering training, preferably training pertaining to family violence
