Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a dynamic Finance Assistant who will be responsible for focusing on month-end processes, reporting and reconciliation.

**Description**:
About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Assistant must be an excellent communicator ensuring that all finance issues are satisfactorily resolved in the most efficient and effective manner.

**Key Responsibilities will include**:
Month end close process across multiple entities by preparing journals and reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts.
Assist in the preparation of monthly management packs.
The owner of daily reconciliation of bank, inventory, debtor & creditor.
Contribute to the preparation of budget and forecast.
Assist with audits and ad-hoc accounting tasks as required.
Support the continuous improvement process by documenting policies and procedures.
Provide team support and coverage as and when required.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce
Experience in a commercial environment
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide advice, influence and negotiate with a diversity of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Prepared to own a process and accept accountability for performance.
Have a keen eye for continuous improvement and the willingness to adapt as required.
Numerate with the ability to understand data and to interpret it in a lateral manner
