**About the position**
Based in our Strathpine Support Office, you will be responsible for sharing learnings and insights on the ever-changing competitor environment.
You will support the Merchandising team by providing findings on changing competitor landscape, providing training, managing price monitoring, managing the catalogue build process, cost price reporting, completing ACCC checks for catalogues, share trend analysis and more.
**Each day will bring something different but key responsibilities of this role will be**:
- Maintaining matches in the 3rd Party price monitoring tool and consolidating data for price review and reporting purposes
- Data validation of pricing to support decision making for the wider merchandising team
- Conducting new line price analysis
- Compiling promotional templates and reports to support the Catalogue build process and ACCC checks
- Providing ad-hoc data and pricing analysis at category team request using Enterprise Data Warehouse or other appropriate systems to support decision making
- Providing regular advice to the Merchandising team based on observations of competitor behaviours obtained through electronic monitoring, physical observations and monitoring of promotional materials
- Supporting the Merchandising performance and analytics manager in the build and maintenance of the SCA merchandising Power BI reporting workspace and general project work
**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will be a result driven, and outcome focused individual capable of independent time management and working, you will also bring:
- Experience in retail setting
- Intermediate to advance ability in Excel - Particular experience with Pivot Tables and creating/using formulas
- A passion / desire for learning and upskilling in data skills
- Experience using PowerBI to create or consume reports
- Any experience with a form of programming or query language (particularly Snowflake/SQL)
