Lead the art direction and bring user experiences to life for new or re-imagined digital products. Be pivotal in delighting customers with exceptional creative digital solutions, working with our brand and master style guide. The role is both hands on and leads others in the ideation, design & execution of digital design prototypes & deliverables ready for customer validation ensuring we build an integrated and seamless customer experience
- Lead the translation of a new or re-imagined brand into a world-class art direction for digital products, confidently sharing your digital design ideas, skills & expertise
- Lead the design of concepts, animations, micro-interactions & high-fidelity UI designs for responsive web, iOS and Android solutions
- Responsilbe for the build and evolution of design systems by turning your art direction into a UI kit, using Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite to design elements, modules, components, page templates for detailed design & development work
- Collaborate with your squad or project team and the broader Digital Experience Design team to ensure digital interactions are designed and can be built to the highest possible standard in alignment with government & accessibility standards and guidelines, within challenging technical constraints
- Be the SME, speaking confidently with senior peers / stakeholders about creative UI decisions that are evidence-based, explaining complex UI concepts, ideas and issues to a variety of audiences, connecting across the broader organisation to ensure UI requirements are understood
- Lead, support, direct, coach & mentore junior digital designers - up to 5 direct reports

Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years' experience in a lead creative role, likely UI design, art direction, visual, graphic, or digital design
- Mastery of creative digital UI design including eg:

- vertical rhythm, white-space, type hierarchies, pixels, grids & colour theory
- breakpoints, responsive, adaptive & fluid design
- Experience meeting WCAG & Proficiency in Figma

**Note Salary Band**: $127,467 - $159,801 + Super
