Cloud Iteration

The Cloud Operations Manager is responsible for the day to day co-ordination and management of a team of cloud/security engineers.

**About the role**

Your backlog of work will be comprised from BAU Cloud Operations, CyberSec, Cloud Platform Heath, other Platform Initiatives, Cost Optimisation and execution of the Cloud Strategy.

You will be accountable for people management (5 direct reports), team workload, audit obligations, rosters, escalations, project support and performance.

You’ll also be responsible for providing an awesome customer service experience to our internal customers.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensure that the team is aligned & ready to meet delivery requirements.
- Ensure Cloud Platform interactions exceed expectations on quality, time & cost.
- Effectively prioritise incoming work, balancing business benefit, platform currency and uplift in competency
- Ensure teams adhere to all Security standards, in recognition of the evolving nature of Cyber Security and the dynamic rate of change
- Excellent people management and leadership skills. With the proven ability to develop and lead high performing technical teams, foster a positive team environment that encourages and recognises success, close collaboration with other teams, contribution and innovation.
- Passionate about coaching, mentoring and challenging team members to upskill and adopt best practices
- Excellent planning and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to interact and build relationships with a broad range of people across the organisation through trust and integrity

**About You**

We’re looking for a passionate leader with experience with:

- Strong understanding of project delivery and managing multiple streams of requirements.
- Understanding of Agile, Jira & KANBAN2
- People management experience, with a love of coaching and mentoring’
- Understanding of enterprise and cloud technologies - preferred but not essential
- Familiarity with AWS and AWS concepts - preferred but not essential
