**Role Overview**:
The **Lead Consultant - DevOps** is a senior leadership position responsible for guiding both technical and strategic DevOps initiatives. You will leverage your expertise in **Azure DevOps, GitHub, Kubernetes**, and modern DevOps tooling like **Terraform, Pulumi, ARM, and Bicep** to deliver scalable and secure solutions. This role also includes a strong focus on **identity management (OAuth)**, **cloud cost management**, and client engagement across pre-sales, solution design, and project delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Sales and Pre-Sales**:
- Collaborate with clients and Kodez Account Managers to translate business visions into actionable, iterative outcomes.
- Present technical and business concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Prepare estimates, scope documentation, and author Statements of Work (SoWs) with input from the consulting team.
- Drive client workshops to define and align project outcomes with business goals.
- Handle ambiguity in client requirements, adapt to changes, and influence stakeholders to achieve mutually favorable outcomes.
- Recommend custom vs. off-the-shelf solutions based on project goals and budgetary concerns.
**Project Management and Oversight**:
- Own and oversee project delivery from proposal through production.
- Lead development squads or individual engineers using iterative methodologies.
- Act as an escalation point for project risks and issues, ensuring effective resolutions.
- Manage project scope, timeframes, and budgets while maintaining a regular cadence of reporting.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Provide oversight across multiple projects, domains, and clients simultaneously.
**Technical Leadership**:
- Architect and implement solutions using **Azure DevOps, Kubernetes**, and other modern cloud platforms.
- Develop infrastructure as code with tools such as **Terraform, Pulumi, ARM templates, or Bicep.**:
- Guide teams on CI/CD best practices and ensure adherence to security and scalability standards.
- Make informed technical decisions that align with client goals, operational costs, and disaster recovery.
- Serve as a validation point for key architectural decisions and feature prioritization.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and frameworks, actively upskilling to maintain expertise.
**Leadership and Mentoring**:
- Act as a senior leader and brand ambassador for Kodez, driving inclusivity and mental health commitments.
- Mentor and support junior team members, helping them navigate technical and client-related challenges.
- Provide input on team succession planning, performance reviews, and professional development initiatives.
- Participate in recruitment activities, including technical interviews and consultant selection.
**Key Technical Skills**:
- Proficiency in **.NET Core** development.
- Expertise in **Azure**, **Azure DevOps**, and **GitHub.**:
- Advanced knowledge of **Kubernetes** and container orchestration.
- Strong background in **identity management** and **OAuth solutions.**:
- Proven experience in **cloud cost management** and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using **Terraform, Pulumi, ARM, or Bicep.**:
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and frameworks.

- Ability to navigate complex client relationships and mediate competing priorities.
