About the role

**Title**: Release Lead - Cloud Centre of Excellence & Enablement

**Location**: Melbourne

We are now recruiting a Release Lead in Cloud Centre of Excellence & Enablement Tribe within Infrastructure and Cloud Services. The Cloud COE & Enablement tribe operates as the central point of decision-making and communication for ANZ's cloud program, both internally and externally. The Cloud COE & Enablement tribe provides organisational clarity and accountability for all aspects of ANZ's cloud program, from governance and approval processes (including APRA) to cloud engineering adoption, learning and advocacy, and customer enablement and partnership.

The purpose of the Release Lead converts business initiatives into cross-platform or cross-Tribe releases of new technology features or enhancements. You will be responsible for facilitating implementation planning and release management of changes into production. This role will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure multiple releases can be achieved simultaneously.

**Leading our ways of delivery**:
You are responsible for release management across streams of work in Cloud Centre of Excellence & Enablement.
Responsible of planning and coordinating among several teams to ensure a proper release schedule and that all requirements are met before release Assessing and improving our delivery & release processes
Actively participate in review sessions, approve completed portions as needed, and facilitate communication channels between engineering and software development staff to ensure idea and process alignment.
Define release schedules and adhere to company procedures in all tasks.
Develop a comprehensive plan to track and integrate multiple inputs, provide direction to internal teams, and conduct status reviews to ensure approval from upper management
Where applicable, use technical expertise to participate in functionality meetings and suggest changes to satisfy business and client needs
Lead the definition, automation, instrumentation, and management of our delivery & release controls

**Work with relevant stakeholders (ie**: engineering teams) to ensure release processes deliver value quickly, strive to achieve continuous delivery.

Leading and facilitating our tribe planning

Working closely with the Product Owners, Scrum Masters to ensure that the backlog of work is ready for Tribe Planning (ie the work is aligned to the objectives of the department, the dependencies have been discussed, the architecture runway is clear and the work has been prioritised).
Working with the Scrum Masters to ensure that the capacity/velocity of the squads is known going into Tribe Planning.
Organising and facilitating the Tribe Planning event days.
Supporting our teams with execution
Facilitate and be a stakeholder in the department Level Scrum of Scrums where any risks, issues, dependencies, or support that they need
Clearing blockers, managing risks & issues
Communicating how work is tracking against PI Objectives to leaders and stakeholders.

**Driving continuous improvement**:
Coach squads to align to agile practices to improve the flow and delivery of value through the Agile Release Train (ART)

What will you bring?

**Mandatory**: Qualified / Certified Release Lead or related certification

**Mandatory**: Demonstrated successful end to end delivery of large-scale projects, across agile and able to articulate advantages and challenges of various Agile methods.

**Mandatory**: You are currently any professional Project Manager with previous or similar experience (3+ years) leading delivery (risk, issue, budget and dependency management).
Experience defining and assessing options and present to different level stakeholders in a coherent and succinct manner.
Ability to escalate and provide clarity on risks and issues and associated impact to the delivery and the customer outcome.
Proven ability to plan at both a high and detail level, and influence stakeholders and team members to commit to a defined pathway.
Ability to facilitate project estimation, timeline and budgets
You are a confident communicator and are comfortable engaging with tech and business teams and skilled in translating tech requirements to business and finance and vice versa. You encompass the ability to constructively challenge / influence senior stakeholders across the organisation.
You have designed and implemented release frameworks and process improvement that ensure automated, high quality, repeatable and reliable delivery.
Experience / Certification with Agile and sound knowledge of Scrum and iterative release delivery
Experienced with Jira and Confluence
Good understanding/experienced of SA
