Busy state government department seeking an Organisational Change Manager for an initial 6-month contract.

Hays have partnered with a thriving State Government department to appoint an Organisational Change Manager to an initial 6-month gig. On one of the highest profile projects since Cross River Rail, and with a huge amount of work in the pipeline, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced change professional to get stuck into.

**Your new role**

As the OCM, your role will be responsible for providing a variety of support services to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of organisational change, and the adoption of information systems and technology services at this new project site. Your day-to-day will be fast-paced and varied, however some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Driving change management activities following a structured methodology to lead, plan, and deliver project communication
- Assess change impacts and develop strategies to address, as well as undertaking stakeholder analysis and developing engagement strategies to best suit their needs
- Design the change management plan for this project, including identifying, analysing and preparing change-focused risk mitigation
- Evaluate and ensure user readiness, while defining and measuring success metrics and monitoring change progress

**What you'll need to succeed**

You'll possess demonstrated experience in Organisational Change, with an exceptional grasp of change design and implementation through a highly structured lens. Some of your key experience will include, but is not limited to:

- Experience in designing and delivering change management, communication, and engagement strategies for large-scale projects.
- Knowledge of contemporary change management and communication frameworks and methodologies.
- Understanding of project management elements, including change management and business integration processes and strategies.
- Experience in developing and implementing consultation strategies, frameworks, and processes.
- Knowledge of business changes resulting from key strategic projects and reform initiatives and the ability to translate them into an effective communication and engagement program.
- Experience in managing ICT projects and delivering transformation initiatives across a large and complex public sector organisation.
- High level interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and negotiate with and influence others on sensitive and complex issues.
- Proven high level of written communication skills, with experience drafting a range of materials, from web text to presentations, reports, and formal documents.
