This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining processes for continuous improvement and strive for industry best practice. The Health and Safety Systems and Governance Lead will also undertake health and safety governance and assurance, including auditing, control effectiveness, supporting due diligence activities, management of data and developing insights from assurance activities through data.

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.
- Establish a health and safety continuous improvement program and monitor its progress.
- Develop and facilitate the consultation process for the Health and Safety Management System which includes engagement of relevant stakeholders, Regional Leadership Teams, Functional Teams and Working Groups.
- Ensure any legislative change is identified as it relates to Aurecon and Health and Safety.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of online health and safety training material.
- Establish, drive and monitor a platform for shared learnings and implementing system changes as a result of health and safety harm incidents.
- Develop the Aurecon Group Assurance Program to provide assurance that the key risk areas are being effectively controlled.
- Ensure a Health and Safety Audit and Assurance program is in place across Aurecon.
- Coordinate and undertake governance and assurance activities to ensure that the Health and Safety Management System and risk and control framework is adequately implemented across the business.

**What we are looking for**:

- Extensive experience specifically in Health and Safety Management Systems and management of Audit and assurance programs.
- A proven track record of implementing successful organisational change in a complex environment.
- Strong group presentation and facilitation skills as week as having personal drive and being results-orientated.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, systems and processes.
- Tertiary level qualification in Health and Safety management or related field, including Engineering, Science, or Business.
- A Lead Auditor qualification would be advantageous.
