We are seeking an accomplished Health and Safety Specialist to lead our health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives.
- To drive the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) strategy, including delivering project work and collaborating with business leaders to integrate health and safety into daily operations.
- To provide specialist health, safety, and wellbeing advice to managers and employees, guiding them through end-to-end health and safety management within their site and business unit/s.
- To design and implement fit-for-purpose controls for unique safety challenges and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the safety management system.
This role requires knowledge and experience in health, safety, and wellbeing, especially in large organizations with complex needs. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering results on time, confidence in advising others on complex health and safety matters, and experience creating training sessions on health, safety, and wellbeing topics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe, healthy, and thriving workplace by driving health and safety initiatives and providing specialist advice to stakeholders.
- To enable teams to manage risks and prioritize wellbeing proactively, and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the safety management system.
Requirements:
- Degree in occupational health and safety or related field.
- Cert IV in WHS or higher.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
