The Cleaning Operations Manager will be part of a transition team dedicated to successfully implementing the commitment to improving government cleaning services. These improvements will strengthen and enhance workplace conditions for cleaners and deliver stronger processes and quality of the cleaning model used in metropolitan government facilities. You will be part of a flexible and high-performing Cleaning Unit Transition Team pivotal in supporting the management of individual sites cleaning operations.
In this role you will support the implementation of a range of improvements to cleaning services that will strengthen and enhance workplace conditions for cleaners and deliver stronger processes and quality of the cleaning model used. This involves responsibility for managing commercial contracts, ensuring strict adherence to contractual terms, as well as government processes and policies. You will serve as the primary point of contact for addressing issues raised by service providers and internal stakeholders. Regular travel is expected and will also include work outside of normal business hours. You will also be required to coordinate a high volume of correspondence, briefings, and meetings and actively engage in issue resolution, process design and improvement. You will liaise with the Minister's office and other government agencies and coordinate administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations. This includes preparing detailed reports and recommend strategies for enhancing contract performance to the Senior Project Manager and establishing and maintaining effective relationships with service providers to manage risks and resolve issues impacting service delivery. This may include managing sensitive negotiations with competing priorities. A valid Driver's License is required and availability to participate in evening and/or weekend work, including regular travel. During any emergency, you may be required to work outside typical business hours.
