**About the opportunity**
The Clinical Lead is responsible for clinical support of the Health Information and Advice Service (HIAS) across all channels (telephony, web and app) and forms part of the clinical leadership, together with the other clinical leads. You will be an experienced health professional who is confident in managing effective stakeholder relationships with a strong understanding of health.
This is a newly created position with the opportunity to shape the role and contribute as we launch a new platform and undergo an exciting period of change.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Provide clinical oversight and clinical expertise input across all channels of HIAS, including telephone and video services for the healthdirect helpline, after hours GP helpline and healthdirect service digital assets
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of services
- Provide consistent and timely information to stakeholders
- Ensure effective and efficient procedures and processes are in place for clinically safe services
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain effective processes for overseeing, evaluating, reviewing and improving the services
- Monitor and analyse service provider reports to identify existing or potential clinical governance concerns or provide recommendations on actions needed and outcomes to be achieved
**What we’re looking for**
- Health professional background, with current AHPRA registration
- Extensive clinical practice experience (primary care, secondary care, population health)
- Demonstrated experience in telehealth service delivery
- 5+ years in a relevant role
- An excellent understanding of quality and safety and clinical governance and specifically as it relates to telehealth
- Practical experience leading and managing clinical responsibility, including reporting against clinical governance protocols
- Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels
- Highly effective time management skills
- Team player who is capable of sharing information and leveraging each other’s strengths and expertise to drive optimal outcomes
