About You

In addition to leading philanthropic partnerships and securing major donors, the Philanthropy Business Partner will be a key advisor to the College leadership to build a College-wide understanding of fundraising and its relationship to the College and University. The role includes developing strategy, managing donor opportunities and portfolios, and operates within a network of Philanthropy, Alumni and Industry engagement specialists across RMIT to align strategies, activities, and relationship management.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
- Highly motivated and pro-active with a proven track record in fundraising within a major organisation, including cultivation, gift closing and stewardship.- Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively with RMIT staff, academics, administrators and students as well as potential donors.- Strong track record and proven ability to engage and develop team capability to achieve stretch objectives.- Strong diagnostic, analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to develop innovative and creative solutions.
