**The Role**

We currently have an opportunity to join our Finance team as an Actuarial within ALM and Investments Products on a fixed term contract position. This opportunity is open to work from our North Sydney or Melbourne office in conjunction with our hybrid work from home options.

This role reports to the Manager, ALM and Investment Products and has responsibility for supporting asset-liability management and management of legacy products.

**Your responsibilities will include**:
Provide support to the Manager, ALM and Investment Products to fulfil the team’s responsibilities including:

- Support monthly economic assumptions and estimate financial impacts
- Review investment issues, performance, and risk; provide balance sheet insights to ALCO and the Board
- Analyse investment performance and asset exposures
- Calculate monthly policy liability for legacy products and analyse changes.
- Analyse participating bonus rates and crediting rates
- Proactively manage risk; ensure compliance with policies and procedures; perform controls; and escalate issues or breaches as identified

**About you**
- Actuarial qualifications, FIAA or equivalent strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and Python
- 5+ years of life insurance ALM and valuation experience, with capital and Australian-specific experience strongly preferred
- Practical knowledge in project management, networking, leadership, and communication
