**Key duties and responsibilities**
- Under direct supervision, conduct analyses that adhere to actuarial standards of practice: select appropriate data sources and methods, make assumptions, recognize considerations and develop recommendations.
- Become familiar with data sources and requirements; retrieve and manipulate data.
- Analyse data on premium and claims for experience analysis.
- Develop knowledge of actuarial methodologies by assisting in the creation/revision of actuarial models and tools for automation.
- Assist senior actuaries in activities across pricing, valuation, data analytics and marketing.
- Assist in conducting research.
- Other adhoc tasks.

Duration:

- This is a 12 months contract position

**Experience**:

- No prior actuarial work experience required. Knowledge of advanced mathematics and statistical

**Skills and Personal Competences**:

- Effective verbal and written communication, time management and organization skills.
- Ability to comprehend actuarial concepts and other advanced statistical concepts.
- Ability to think logically and perform accurate calculations in a timely manner.
- Ability to use personal computer, ppt slides, and Microsoft Office (including visual basic).
- Ability to use Python or SQL preferable.
- Strong problem solving and analytical thinking ability.
- Team player.
- Culturally flexible and sensitive.

**Required Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or related field with a strong quantitative orientation.
