Abergeldie is a locally owned contractor with close to 30 years’ industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.

**About the opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team. In this role you will identify and develop relationships with external supply partners to deliver strategic and commercially effective solutions for Abergeldie. You will partner with internal stakeholders to understand current and future needs and ensure we are maximising grouped sourcing opportunities and deliver measurable cost savings and improved performance.
- Lead the analysis of current spend data and execute innovative sourcing initiatives.
- Maximise grouped sourcing opportunities through supplier rationalisation and negotiation strategies.
- Develop and negotiate framework and other long term agreements with strategic partners.
- Ensure procurement frameworks align with Modern Slavery Act, ISO20400:2017, Net Zero Commitment, and other business objectives.
- Collaborate with pre-contracts, engineering, and operational teams to align sourcing strategies with broader business objectives.
- Lead the development of new supplier networks to support our operational teams as required including in regional areas.
- Review and develop comprehensive RFI/RFQ/RFT/RFP documents, including non-price elements.
- Work collaboratively with our Pre-Contracts team and support tender processes ensuring best practice procurement processes. Develop transition and change management plans in partnership with our Leaders to support the implementation and transition of strategic sourcing practices within the business.

**What You’ll Bring to the Team**

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Specialist with a proven track record in delivering innovative sourcing strategies within the construction industry. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence a range of stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. You will have an detailed understanding of contractual models and risk allocation and have significant experience in the drafting, development and negotiation of complex contractual arrangements and sourcing methodologies in a major project environment with well-developed negotiation skills.
